Hey *|FNAME|*!

This week starts training for our volunteers! One way we support our awesome volunteers is to train them to confidently change a child's story. We gather to learn how to handle certain situations, take care of report logistics, and more. If you're curious about what our volunteers do or how to get involved, be sure to visit us at https://www.neincasa.net/about-casa
Thanks to everyone who made our annual CASA Palooza event online a success! We had a ton of great items donated for our auction and so many of you got online and placed bids! In addition to all your bidding support, we also had some fabulous sponsors. Help us in celebrating and saying "thanks" to these event sponsors:
Recently the Auburn Moose Lodge held a putt-putt event to benefit CASA. This family-friendly event had something for all ages. We are so grateful for the Auburn Moose Lodge for being a continued supporter of our mission and for choosing to benefit CASA with this event! The group presented Northeastern Indiana CASA with a check for $6,500 from the event.

October is National Substance Abuse Prevention Month. In 2019, approximately 87,000 children were removed from their home and placed in foster care due to parental substance abuse. Children are the silent victims of an opioid crisis that is separating families and helping fuel a 4.4 percent growth in the nationwide foster care system since 2012.

Volunteers make a difference in these situations. They provide a voice and support to a child who has been neglected due to substance abuse in the home. Fall training is getting underway next week. if you're wanting to volunteer, now is the time! Learn more on our website at www.neincasa.net or call 260-636-6101.
