CASA Palooza to Unite Community in Support of Vulnerable Children

KENDALLVILLE — Northeastern Indiana CASA will once again bring together community members, local businesses and advocates for its signature annual fundraiser, CASA Palooza, a high-energy evening designed to support children who have experienced abuse or neglect.

The event, featuring tasting stations, live and silent auctions, and a 40th anniversary celebration, raises critical funds to sustain the organization's mission across LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, and Whitley counties.

CASA Palooza has grown into one of the region’s most anticipated spring fundraisers, drawing supporters who believe in ensuring that every child involved in the court system has a dedicated advocate by their side.

“All of the funds raised at CASA Palooza go directly toward recruiting, training and supporting our advocates,” said Kristi Bachman, executive director of Northeastern Indiana CASA. “These advocates are appointed by judges to serve as a consistent, caring presence for children navigating some of the most difficult seasons of their lives.”

Court Appointed Special Advocates, or CASAs, work alongside child welfare professionals, educators and service providers to ensure that a child’s best interests are represented in court. Volunteers often remain the one consistent adult presence for a child throughout the life of a case.

“CASA Palooza is more than a fundraiser,” Bachman said. “It’s a powerful reminder that our community stands behind its most vulnerable children. When people attend, sponsor or donate, they are helping change a child’s story.”

Last year’s event raised nearly $60,000 in support of the organization’s training and awareness efforts. Organizers anticipate strong community participation again this year as the event also celebrates the organization’s 40th anniversary. The evening blends celebration with purpose.

“Our work is never finished,” Bachman said. “But events like CASA Palooza allow us to continue showing up, in courtrooms, in schools and in conversations, advocating for children who deserve safety, stability and hope.”
