Cheryl Weaver: Everyday hero

We love our volunteers! April is the month we dedicate to celebrating our volunteers who do so much to change a child's story. Meet Cheryl Weaver...

Cheryl has been a CASA volunteer in Steuben County since August of 2007. She has overseen 37 CHINS cases, 28 divorce/custody cases; overall Cheryl has advocated for more than 100 kiddos. Over 100 kiddos were provided a voice because of Cheryl.

Cheryl was a 1st and 3rd-grade teacher for 22 years. She retired in 2006 and started with CASA nearly a year later. Cheryl stated, “I still feel I am making a positive difference, so will continue for now.” She and her husband have two children and five grandchildren, all of whom are boys. She and her husband love summertime when everyone comes to enjoy the lake with them. Cheryl also loves to read and getting together with her friends.

Thanks, Cheryl for all you do as a CASA volunteer! We appreciate you!
